Cristian Varela
Cristian Varela a.k.a Carlos Duran influenced by a special family of artists and his mature musitian career to finish (piano- solfege), is internationally known as one of the most charismatic names of the electronic scene. His compositions in some national theatre shows, movies, fashion "pasarelas", TV spots and of course his spectacular sets with 3 or 4 decks along with his constant tours around the World, makes Cristian the number one representative from Spain in clubs and festivals from Japan to U.S.A, U.K, Europe, …
Cristian have a massive worklist with more than 150 productions and compositions for the most prestigious international labels and companies such as Sony- Spain, Intec- U.K, Mb electronics- Belgium, Planet vision- germany, Elephanthaus (U.S.A), Pornographic recordings- Spain (he owns together with Marco Bailey) and his own brand new labels Donkeyhead recordings and black codes. Also remixer of talents like Eurrythmics “Sweet Dreams”, Michael Zager´s Band “Let´s All Chant”, Split Second “Flesh”…His productions have appeared in the top tens of the most important dj´s, in specialized magazines, tvs, radios, Internet… (MTV, VIVA, Tele5, Antena 3, Telemadrid, Cuatro, TVE1, TVE2, DJ, Mixmag, Groove, Raveline, Out Soon, Trax…)
With his first album “New Electronic Audio/Architectures” (Primate Rec.1999), Cristian has shown his maturity and versatility to move among other fashionable styles as ambient, electro and house.
All this together with his more than fifteen years of experience producing and deejing as lead him to be one of the most remarkable artists in the world´s electronic panorama. In 2008 NEW Classical Album!!!
